Softening and embracing natural light
Warm, timeless colours and neutral textures were used to soften the natural light from the garden, creating a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. As the living room directly linked to outdoor space, a warm grey-green paint was used on both walls and ceiling for a seamless, soothing feel. This bold choice framed the property’s architectural features whilst full length voile curtains diffused the bright light from the spacious window, without blocking the tranquil view.
The space was ‘zoned’ using an L-shaped sofa accented with large peach velvet cushions. A circular wooden and marble coffee table served as both a functional and aesthetic focal point. Engineered oak flooring added warmth to the room, whilst a hard-wearing rug softened the high-traffic area. And a casual swivel chair rounded out the seating area, creating a nook that brought the concept together.
